Health and beauty benefits of beer
Most people say that beer is not good for your health. It is right that drinking too much beer can be risky but nobody knows that it also can give some health and beauty benefits. So what I want to say is at a proper level, it is good for your health. Beer has vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and amino acids. And also thesedays, scientific studies have been confirmed brewer’s yeast—an essential and fundamental part of beer—can help you improve symptoms of acne and get rid of the bacteria which causes acne. (but be careful not to get a beer belly :p)
The difference between Ale and Lager Beer
All beer can be classified as either a lager or an ale. The differences begin during the brewing process. Whether the beer is an ale or lager is defined by the type of yeast used in the brew and the temperature at which fermentation takes place. Ales are brewed with top-fermenting yeast which allows for rapid fermentation at warmer temperatures; Lagers are brewed with bottom-fermenting yeast which ferments more slowly and at colder temperatures.
<Lagers>
- Lager means to store or put aside.
- This beer is made with bottom yeast, so-called because it flocculates to the bottom of the vat.
- Traditionally bottom yeast will ferment at cold temperatures less than 10 deg C. Now fermentation takes place at 12 to 18 deg C. This cold or deep fermentation allows the malt and hops to assert their fine flavours.
- Lager tends to be paler, drier and less alcoholic than ales.
- Pilsener or pils beer originated in Bohemia where brewers first found beer that was over-wintered or lagered improved if stored in cool caves and kept on ice.
- German lagers, including beers such as bock and marzen, are made according to the Bavarian Purity Laws of 1516 to ensure the beer is all-malt (no sugar) and hopped with bitter and aromatic varieties (noble hops).
- Some German-style beers are described as "helles" meaning pale or blonde. Pale beers grew in popularity following the adoption of the glass for drinking in the 19th Century.
<Ales>- Ales are brewed with top-fermenting yeasts at temperatures from 15 to 25 deg C.
- Ales are matured for shorter periods and at warmer temperatures.
- Ales include a wide range of beer styles from porters and stouts (porter is a heavy beer of pronounced bitterness, reddish-brown to a very dark brown, but is usually lighter in body and malt character than stout) to pale ales and wheat beer.
- Generally, ales are higher in alcohol, more robust and complex than lagers.

In 2008, when I came back to korea from Europe travel, I really missed every part of Europe travel. At that moment, I went this pub with my older sister. It made me feel just as if I'm in Europe. Its interior is very exotic and beautiful. This pub is situated at castle, called CASTLE PRAHA. I think some of you might visit here before. It serves traditional Czech house beer and lots of delicious dishes.
Its interior and shape were made like real castle praha in Czech |
This pub consists of two parts. In the upstairs, you will be served only dish, not for a drinking. But in the basement, you can drink a beer and feel exotic pub mood.
It called dark lager, it has delicious soft bubble and rich bitter sweet taste. |
The greatest merit of this pub is that woman can enjoy beer as much as man with awesome antique interior and nice taste of house beer. Actually, my older sister like this pub more than me due to its atmosphere. The price of beer and food is rather expensive, so if you leave food, don't be ashamed of packing food. Then they will pack your food with lovely package.

This pub named after Vincent Van Gogh. It displays Vincent Van Gogh's works. It doesn't have lots of seats and they play soft pop music. I usually go this pub to relax when I finish my assignments. They have many regular customers due to its atmosphere.
It's not a big pub:) just for small meeting with your friends or couple.

How wonderful... I like that mood!! Doesn't it feel like dreamy?
With drinking beer, enjoy Vincent Van Gogh's works.
Listening soft music and drinking beer. It's perfect combination.
To be honest, I'm worrying about being misunderstood as a alcoholic person.... But I'm not!! :) Anyway, its cost is same as usual pub and I'm pretty sure that this pub is excellent to take a sip of beer. And I recommend tuna roll sidedish with drinking beer.

I've heard lots of new beer bar opened nearby back gate. And this pub that I'll introduce is one of them. This pub serves nearly all of world beer and its interior looks like classy rather than the other pubs. They serves only bottle beer.
There was huge screen to watch sports games ,TV and even though it was very crowded, but silent. And there were many portraits of old hollywood stars. They serves pop corn for free.
I was impressed by the way of paying. You just pick up a bottle beer what you want to drink from refrigerator and pay later all together. I think this pub serves many kinds of bottle beer, but it's a bit expensive. So, you'd better be just satisfied to experience exotic bottle beer.(Don't drink too much, you'll be shocked when you pay later)

Have you ever heard Che Guevara? he is commonly known as el Che or simply Che, was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary, physician, author, intellectual, guerrilla leader, diplomat and military theorist. Anyway I don't know why he named Che Guevara for his pub. I've heard this pub has been for a long time and popluar for second drinking(2차)
I'm just guessing that the pub owner admire Che Guevara :)
It looks like quite old pub and you can ask the music what you want to listen.(only for pop song and rock)
I ordered red rock 500cc. It costs 2500 won. If you want to go there with your couple or listen to music, I recommend you to join there. And also I recommend jack coke (jack daniels wiskey + coke) which is not strong but rather expensive.
